  At 10 o’clock in the morning, the giant panda "daddy" and "wet nurse" entered the outdoor sports ground with their lovely baby pandas. The lively and active baby pandas got together and looked naive. According to the relevant person in charge of the Panda Base, the panda babies were arranged in the number "70" in this debut activity, expressing the good wishes of the seven new panda babies born this year for the 70th anniversary of the founding of New China.

  In 2019, chengdu research base of giant panda created two best in the world. The returned giant panda "Abao" gave birth to the world’s heaviest captive giant panda twins, all of which reached more than 200 grams. The giant panda "Chengda" gave birth to the world’s lightest newborn panda cub "Chenglang", which was only 37.9 grams after dehydration.

  At present, the newborn panda cubs of the 2019 level in the Panda Base are growing up healthily. Among them, the physiological indexes of the lightest newborn giant panda "Chenglang" are normal, and its weight has reached 5040 grams.

  As of September 16th, this year, the Panda Base has bred 6 births and 9 cubs, and 9 cubs have survived. Among them, there are 5 fetuses and 7 cubs in the panda base park, and 7 cubs survive; Berlin Zoo, Germany, had one fetus and two babies, and two babies survived. At present, the panda base has established the world’s largest ex-situ population of giant pandas with 204 existing ones.

  According to statistics, the panda base received nearly 7.5 million tourists in 2018, and it is expected to exceed 9 million this year.
